Freshman Student Orientation, Advising & Registration (SOAR)

We are excited to guide you on your journey to becoming a Dragon by signing up for SOAR!

Spring 2026 SOARs are virtual experiences
- Orientation - Please complete the Pre-SOAR Admitted Freshman New Student Steps to ensure you have the information you need prior to meeting with an Advisor
- Advising - Once you have completed the Pre-SOAR Admitted Freshman New Student Steps, beginning November 3, 2025, you will be contacted by a member of our advising team within 2-3 business days to schedule a time with you to discuss course recommendations and registration.
  - If you have not heard from an advisor 3 business days after completing the Online Orientation, please text our First Year Programs office at 218.304.7544 and they will assist you.
- Registration - Your advisor will assist you in knowing how to register for the courses they recommend. Additionally, located on the Admitted Freshman New Student Steps is a Get Advised and Register for First Semester drop-down that will provide you with information on how to register for classes.
