Payment Dates

Remember, bills are NOT mailed. You can view, print and pay your bill online through eServices under the Bills and Payment tab. Payment options are available. If you have any questions contact Business Services.

Minnesota State Moorhead's financial commitment date by which students need to begin to take payment action to maintain course registration is 15 business days before the start of the semester.

Payment Dates for Summer Semester 2026

Excess Financial Aid funds deposited, beginning June 17, 2026, into your checking or savings account. If you did not complete the Direct Deposit setup, an aid overage check will be mailed to your local address.

  • Last day for online enrollment in "two monthly installments" payment plan option through Nelnet.
May 27, 2026 Make your registration changes: Courses you do not plan on attending should be dropped to avoid financial obligation. The University does not process summer semester. Some courses may be allowed additional free drop days depending on the length of the course and its start date (check your course registration on eServices).
June 8, 2026 Complete your Direct Deposit setup in eServices under the Financial Aid tab. This will allow excess Financial Aid funds to be deposited into your checking or savings account.
June 10, 2026 Financial Aid is applied to your bill.
June 23, 2026 Payment plan through Nelnet Business Solutions
  • Last day for online enrollment in "one month installment" payment plan option through Nelnet.
June 24, 2026 Payment-in-full Due
Full payment of all remaining charges are due unless the student has obtained an approved payment plan. A late fee of $50.00 will be assessed on all accounts not paid in full by the established payment deadline. .
June 27, 2026 A will be placed on a student's account when they have missed the Universities payment deadline for the current term. The University is authorized to withhold the issuance of diplomas and official transcripts and deny further registration. Holds will remain on a student's account until their account balance is paid in full.
August 3, 2026 Accounts with past due balances are subject to referral for collection to MN Department of Revenue or a private collection agency.

  • Release financial information by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and select MSU Moorhead from the drop-down menu.

  • Contract an approved payment plan with Nelnet Business Solutions (NBS) to pay your bill in monthly installments.
