ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø students Kseniia Gaidamukha and Brenda Correa-Mendez broke tradition by being the only student presenters at the prestigious 2023 ACUI/NIRSA Collegiate Marketing Institute, a professional conference for the advancement of recreation, sport, and wellness.

Randall Flick learned two things in nursing school: he didn't want to be a nurse and he loved medicine. Now, as the medical director of Mayo Clinic Children's Center, he serves on the committee that oversees all of Mayo’s pediatric activity across the Midwest. Flick is the recipient of a 2020 Distinguished Alumni Award.

Graduate students in ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø’s counseling program addressed a gap in youth mental health services by offering free therapy via telehealth to K-12 students in rural school districts.

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is far-reaching and has presented countless new challenges, especially in the mental health field. The pandemic also impacted the delivery of face-to-face counseling services because of social distancing.

Students in the COMM 440 class produced and directed the documentary, "ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø: Under the Mask," which follows students, faculty and staff at ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø during the pandemic.

ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø’s faculty, staff and students found a unique way to band together while learning to studying and working from home with children.

These ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø alumni and faculty, although from varied backgrounds with different degrees and career fields, all conduct research across the world. Their association with ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø has shaped their careers.
