Carter Headrick ’93 has spent his career sharing stories to influence the decisions of U.S. leaders, earning him the ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø Foundation’s Dragon Impact Award.

Dan Conrad has been awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award, celebrating his storied career in law, international relations, and as the current CEO of BCBSND.

Erick George was a triple major and minor at ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø. Now, he is the producer of The Valley Today at Valley News Live and is doing his own segment on former presidents, "The Countdown to 47."

Moorhead Mayor Shelly Carlson believes that the future of Moorhead and of ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø are intertwined, as college students thrive along with their community.

Emeritus political science professor Andrew Conteh has received ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø's 2023 Outstanding Service Award for his lasting impact on campus.

As graduation nears, excitement fills the air as this year’s graduates prepare to walk across the stage. Sejla Dervisic, a third-year senior double majoring in history and political science, is the featured student speaker at the 2 p.m. ceremony.

Political science major, Sami Farrell, is one of ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø’s 2023 student speakers for Commencement. 

In 1962, while attending a junior college in his hometown of Fergus Falls, Minn., Joseph Kise (of infamous ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø fame) was a visiting professor in one of Hollis Nelson’s classes. Kise spoke of the opportunities at ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø, including programs and scholarships, and after some conversation, Hollis decided to transfer to Moorhead.

Dragon Pride. It runs deep among our alumni and students. For many regional families, an ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø education is a family tradition.

Although their reasons for returning vary, the alumni who “come home” recognize the potential of the community and take pride in the home of their alma mater.
